“Are you okay, Tamera?”
I look up and see Zach eyeing me with his gentle grey eyes in concern. His forehead’s covered in sweat and making his dark brown hair stick to his pale white forehead. I lean against one of the many trees in the forest “…Yeah…just..give….me..a..minute….to..catch..my…breath....” He looks behind us in worry. “We’ve got to hurry, it’s going to catch us if we just stand around here” I get back on my feet and suddenly feel a acute pain in my head. Ooucchh I start to rub my temples but that just makes the pain worsen, everything starts to fade into blackness slowly…“Tamera!” I faintly hear Zach yell my name and steps coming toward me, but the pain and darkness is faster than him and it takes me with it…
“Wake up please…I don’t..have much….time left,..Tamera…”
The scent of blood and the faint voice of the stranger talking alert me to awake. I open my eyes to look around me and find a man with grey eyes and dark brown hair covered in blood lying a few feet away from me and even farther away lay a dead body of a strange animal. I look back at the bloody man in confusion and ask “who are you? What am I doing here?” more importantly, who am I?! I get up in a sitting position and look at the bloody grey eyed man, As questions pop up in my head and I get more confused than ever, The man stares at at me in shock then says “don’t you remem-“ suddenly he covers his mouth with one of his hands and has a fit of coughs. I watch him in worry and horror as I see fresh blood dripping from the hand covering his coughing mouth “Are you alright?!” I ask him. When he stops coughing and looks down at the hand that was covering his mouth a second ago, now covered in his blood, and he smiles faintly. Than he looks up at me “ I killed it..Tamera..It’s finally..gone..I killed..it….” I eye the dead animal, shocked, that animals got to be at least 7 feet and…he killed it?...how?..and why? He sees the confusion in my eyes….
