- Elemental Shapeshifting: Sani can shift either his entire form or parts of himself into fire, smoke, or stone. He can only do one elemental form at a time and can maintain it in short bursts. When in these elemental shapes, he is restricted to the same weaknesses/abilities as the element, such as water being highly effective against a flame arm or being trapped in a container while shifted into a smokey form. He is also susceptible to any magic user capable of manipulating the elements while in these forms, so this ability can be rendered useless or even a weakness if utilized around anyone with powers of that nature.
Flight: Sani can imbue objects with the ability to fly. It takes a little amount of concentration and he has to be touching for it to maintain the effect, plus it has the limitation of going at about walking speed while in the air. This isn't a very great mode of transport, but it can be pretty neat.
Teleportation: It takes a whole ton of energy and he can't exactly do it more than maybe once a day, but Sani is capable of teleporting himself and anyone he is in direct contact with to a different location in an instant. Aside from it basically being a one-way trip, he has to have been to the destination before so he can properly visualize it.
Dancing: He's been taking classes for hip hop specifically since he was seven and he's pretty great at it, to be honest. He's tried a couple of other styles of dance and isn't too shabby, but hip hop is really where he excels. His dance classes also mean he's pretty quick on his feet and has great reflexes.
████████ † Personality & Personal Information † ████████
Personality: Sani can be considered a ball of meddlesome, lecherous energy who just never seems to know when to stop—or just plain doesn't care to. He's a chronic liar who enjoys keeping secrets, while conversely preaching the importance of honesty and doing his best to whittle out whatever private information anyone may have. He loves pushing buttons and hits on anything that moves without hesitance, so even those who deny him are in for an annoying pest who just won't leave them alone. No one can count on Sani to follow through on any kind of commitment without some form of temptation binding him to it, which is hard when Sani finds just about everything tempting. The best anyone can say about Sani is that he gets better the friendlier he is with someone, being even surprisingly respectful of those he cares about. But this is a very difficult category to squeeze into as Sani places a firm distance between himself and others.
Backstory: Sani grew up on the west coast of America, raised by a single teenage father who had no idea what he was doing. It wasn't the worst childhood and, actually, Sani has a lot of fond memories growing up with his dad, even if they were dirt poor and lived in a van for a good part of it. The family on his pop's side didn't want anything to do with him and, honestly, neither did his birth mom's family. That is, until his gifts started coming in and his dad thought he was losing his mind. Frantic, he rang up everyone he knew in hopes for an answer for why his son was suddenly fire and then not and how normal someone should rate this. His side of the family thought he was on something, but his birth mom's folks were pretty calm about the ordeal and showed a sudden interest in their grandson.
It turned out that some great-great-great-great-great grandmother was a full-blooded jinn and the family had had a rare occurrence of producing heirs that could just do things like that. Sani was the first in a couple of generations, which made him a Big Deal on that side of the family. His dad was never quite accepted into the group and his mom was still weird about his existence, but Sani's lifestyle when he was seven moved from sharing a van to a bedroom and a lot of doting relatives. No one could actually teach him about his abilities or how to use them, but Sani was given ample room to figure it out on his own and wrecked many, many playgrounds in the process.
They had all just started to get worried about the destructive behavior of the kid when a letter for Videl Academy came in the mail, inviting him to enroll. It took a lot of debate, but Sani had the final say in the end—he really, really wanted to go. He was too curious to pass up some mysterious, invite-only school in England, after all. So, with a lot of tearful farewells from mostly his family's end, Sani was herded onto a plane to get his new school life started.
Goal: To discover literally everything there is to know about the academy, plus any other interesting things he comes across.
Sani is a huge bookworm and has been the star pupil of all his English and Literature courses, which is how a first year forced his way as second-in-command of his literature class.
He paints his nails because he likes it and no one can tell him not to.
